Two days, 12 deals: China and Germany connect on autonomous driving, EVs and mobility services

BERLIN – China and Germany signed a record 12 deals related to the auto industry during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s official State visit on July 9-10.

The deals involved a number of German and Chinese OEMs, suppliers, technology companies, Chinese smart EV startups, universities, associations, research institutes and governments including Volkswagen Group (including the brands Audi and Seat), Daimler, BMW Group, FAW Group, Great Wall Motor, JAC, Brilliance Group, Bosch, CATL, Baidu, Huawei, NIO, Tsinghua University, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (Beijing) Research Institute Co., Ltd., among others.
